Voice Phone
I make a sincere effort to answer every call, especially during regular business hours. While this may not always be possible, other means of communication are readily available.
Text
Texting is the preferred alternative to voice for communication with Old Lamps New Again. Photos can even be included when appropriate. Existing customers should always text using the name and phone number that was provided when the lamp was brought in. This helps me to authenticate the sender and identify them with the correct lamp project.
Voicemail
Although voicemail is not my favorite as it requires multiple steps and consumes more time, every effort is made to simplify the process by recording messages using voice-to-text technology. During regular business hours, if your call is not answered, please assume a busy time in the shop and call back a little later. Voicemail messages are not always checked during these hours.
Email
Email is a good choice when a lengthy message is necessary, a number of photos need to be sent, or an attachment is to be included. Request the email address from me. It is not given here to help prevent spamming, etc.
Contact Page
As a courtesy to the general public, a Contact Page is provided on this website, but its use for customer communications is highly discouraged. Again, texting will be the better choice for a timely response.
Appointment Link
Links to the Old Lamps New Again appointment page are provided in a variety of areas. Appointments are encouraged when lamps are brought in for repair for the forst time, as I can then plan to give my full attention to the new customer and their project. Existing customers do not need an appointment to pick up completed lamps and are requested to simply visit the shop during regular business hours.
Absence from Shop
Business hours are strictly observed as far as humanly possible. While absences from the shop and interruptions to regular business hours are very infrequent, they can and will occur. The OldLampsNewAgain.com website will almost always include a temporary “drop down” or “pop up” message on such occasions. If you are planning a visit, especially from a distance, and just want to make sure the shop isn’t closed for some reason, by all means check the website for a message.
